The biggest celebration of Acadian youth in the Atlantic provinces since 1979!
Year after year, the Société des Jeux de l'Acadie (SJA), which manages the program, entrusts a municipality in the Atlantic provinces with the responsibility of organizing the Finale des Jeux de l'Acadie.Acajoux travels and settles in various Acadian communities. With him, he drags nine regions from the four Atlantic provinces, 1,400 athletes/artists and 300 coaches/accompanying staff. Added to these are members of the media, officials and, of course, some 2,000 parents.
A series of evening social and cultural activities round out the Jeux de l'Acadie program for athletes/artists. This is an opportunity for athletes/artists to make new friends, or for others to renew old ones. The 5-day Finale program includes 12 disciplines: seven sporting, three cultural, one active living and one for young people with physical disabilities. For its part, the host municipality proudly displays its finest colors to ensure that parents, friends and visitors enjoy a memorable visit to their community. A Finale des Jeux de l'Acadie now attracts nearly 30,000 visitors.
All regions hold Regional Games every year. These regional games determine who will compete in the Finale des Jeux de l'Acadie, held each year towards the end of June, and bring together athletes from each region.
The 44th Finale des Jeux de l'Acadie will be held in Dieppe from June 25 to June 30, 2025. Michel Melanson and his organizing committee are looking forward to welcoming young Acadians to Dieppe.
